APO-T TARGETS MAGE-A PRESENTED IN A TUMOR-SPECIFIC CONTEXT
Fragments of all cellular proteins are exposed on the cell surface by so-called MHC-1 proteins. APO-T has developed proprietary molecules that are capable of targeting any tumor cell that expresses a MAGE-A peptide in the context of the MHC-1 complex (MAGE-MHC-1 peptide complex). Many different kinds of tumors expose the MAGE-MHC-1 peptide complex. It has been found on e.g. prostate tumors, melanomas, lung tumors, breast tumors, and liver tumors.
Apoptosis Inducing Molecules 1 and 2 (AIM-1 and AIM-2) each comprise six target binding domains (sdAb) linked to each other via flexible linkers.
